Child of God, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, quilter, basket lover, amateur photographer, flower and vegetable gardener …….. some a little of who I am, some a lot of who I am, and all a part of me. When I started quilting several years ago, it sparked a passion in my creative side that I never knew existed. I fell in love with it from the very start. I love everything about it, from choosing the fabrics and designing the quilt until the time I finish the last stitch of the binding and everything in between.

And yes, two new quilted grocery bag holders, Sunflowers and Rooster


I finished a major project that I had on my plate for a while, a commissioned tee-shirt memory quilt for friends in Mississippi.  I have another one waiting to be finished, but in between I have whipped up a couple more grocery bag holders.  Every single time I make a new one with different fabric it becomes my new favorite and these are no different.  First is the sunflower .....


And .... Cock-A-Doodle-Dooooo!  I love this rooster fabric with chicken wire .....


We have a Farmer's Market Pavilion about 15 miles from me and I stopped in the other day to see when they have their produce auctions because I am going to be making pickles soon and need some good looking cucumbers.  I was so suprised to see the sweetest little cafe and gift shop filled with items from Kentucky crafters and artisans, including homemade goat milk soap, jewelry, candles, canned jellies, cream candy, fudge ..... you get the picture.  I just happened to have one of my bags in the car and showed the lady working there and she wanted to buy it right on the spot.  She asked me if I could make more to sell there.  Any item they sell has to be approved by a board because they want true artisan quality crafts and food, nothing junky.  They called and happily approved the bag, so I am off and running on a new little adventure.  My husband and one of the guys he works with built me a really nice stand with shaker pegs.  I will take a picture when I get it set up at the place later on this week.  Who knows, they may not sell for the price I want to get out of them, but if not I will just keep them or give them away as Christmas gifts.  All you quilting blog friends, I hope you have had time to quilt.  All you bakers and chefs, I hope you have had time to whip up something wonderful.  All you gardeners, I hope your fruits and vegetables are showing off for you.  Basically, I wish each and every one of you a wonderful day.

    These are very cute bags, Rhonda. I can see why each new one is your favorite. That is great that you have a place to sell them. I hope that goes well for you. I am interested to see the rack DH and coworker made for your display.

    They are adorable, Rhonda!! I pray for your venture to be more than you can ask or imagine!!!

    Always nice to finish a big project!! I'm working diligently on TBQ! Want to have it finished by the 4th! But I've been on a piecing frenzy. Using up fabrics that I have had for several years and FQs that I have won. So much fun!! Plus, I'm playing with a couple of projects that I'm going to start when I finish up this round!! Always something isn't there!! LOL My sewing has been productive, the garden so-so - had a few things, but not like usual! But thankful for what we got! I've been working my dogs early almost every morning and it is going very well.

    So, a very blessed day to you too!!
